If this is the standard, no wonder so many attractive women in the world are single!!CUE-TV has begun, and so has the work. We're doing a daily Breakfast Show to cover all the Festival Happenings, and our work is being broadcast online and on SABC Africa. Paul made me Day Editor and Director of the show. I'm doing a lot of Producer stuff, liasing with bosses and stuff. It's a lot of work, and stressful, but I'm REALLY glad that I don't have to traipse around town with a camera on my shoulder. I have to be at work at 5AM every morning, because the show runs from 7-9, but I get off after my 14h30 meeting so it's not too terrible. The film crews have to be here until like 2AM...I'd rather get up early and know when my day ends, than to stay up late.
My lovely friend Thrishni is here!! Trishi and I got up to MUCH mischief when we worked at Children's Summit together, and I love her muchly. We've been having lots of fun the past few days. She presents a current affairs show on Lotus FM, a KZN-based SABC radio station.
She is a lovely friend, this one...one of those friends-for-life sort of people. We've been out to dinner twice, went to see Shrek3 (unimpressive), rented loads of DVDs, and roamed the Village Green (the Festival flea market) for a couple hours. Next? Who knows. :)My mommy and daddy are coming on Thursday. yay. :) Haven't seen them since January. Hi guys.
You know, my brain is on an entirely other level right now. I'm so sick...I've got a cold that I just can't kick, and my voice is doing this weird pseudo-Sophia-Loren, I've-been-smoking-for-20-years act. Don't you like my sexy new voice? Very phlegmy, darling.
As you can see, my thoughts are quite random. Perhaps I should quit while I'm behind. It's time for me to go pretend like I actually know what I'm doing.
